HR Consulting Senior Associate (Payroll)

Location: Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Austin, Dallas, Boston, or Philadelphia, United States; hybrid work with in-person attendance at least three days per week at a hirify.global office or client site; travel typically 40–50%, occasionally up to 80%.

Base salary: $110,400–$140,760 per year.

What you will do

• Manage end-to-end HR and Payroll transformation projects, including operating model assessments, HCM system selection and implementation, and process redesign.
• Assess current-state operations, identify pain points, and develop future-state roadmaps to improve efficiency, scalability, and compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement and governance across HR and Payroll processes by applying best practices, optimizing workflows, and using technology.
• Design and lead workforce transformation workshops supporting stakeholder alignment and change management.
• Coordinate with clients, internal teams, and external vendors; own project milestones, quality, deliverables, and client relationships.
• Contribute to methodologies, whitepapers, thought leadership, and targeted utilization objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in HR/Payroll transformation, consulting, or related roles.
• Proficiency with HR and Payroll systems such as UKG, Dayforce, Workday, or SAP/SuccessFactors.
• Experience selecting and implementing HCM platforms and designing HR operating models.
• Ability to align transformation initiatives with business strategy and workforce trends.
• Familiarity with automation tools and data analytics for process improvement.
• Understanding of global payroll compliance, data privacy regulations, cross-border operations, compliance standards, and risk mitigation.
• Ability to present to C-suite and senior executives and shape strategic conversations.
• Strong project management, communication, stakeholder engagement, and verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel as needed, typically 40–50% and occasionally up to 80%.
