Electrical Hardware Engineer I

Location: Hybrid in Roseville, California, United States; work from an HPE office an average of 2 days per week.

Salary: Annual base salary of USD 74,300–150,500 in California; variable incentives may also be offered.

What you will do

• Design portions of electrical and electronic engineering solutions, including components, subsystems, integrated circuitry, and algorithms.
• Implement test plans covering tolerances, form/fit/function, shock and vibration, electromagnetic interference, safety, reliability, thermal generation, and system power.
• Conduct design, validation, feasibility, and reliability analysis in line with established engineering principles and specifications.
• Collaborate with electrical hardware engineers and internal and outsourced development partners.
• Contribute to reliable, cost-effective, high-quality solutions for low- to moderately complex products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Typically 0–2 years of experience.
• Experience with or understanding of electrical design tools and software packages.
• Understanding of electronic components, integrated circuitry, and algorithms.
• Understanding of thermal and electromagnetic properties of materials and emissions management.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Mastery of English and the local language.
