Senior Backend Engineer (Python/Go)

Location: San Mateo, CA, United States; onsite five days per week.

Annual OTE range: $160,000–$260,000 USD.

What you will do

• Design scalable control planes and data primitives for hirify.global products.
• Build distributed systems capable of handling high traffic from hundreds of thousands of devices worldwide.
• Launch new services within a microservices architecture.
• Scale Auth, Users, Roles, and Audit capabilities for core products serving large organizations.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering.
• 4+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience building and scaling access systems for millions of users worldwide.
• Mastery of at least one of Python or Go.
• Experience with relational databases such as Postgres and MySQL.
• Experience with key-value storage and caching systems, including Redis and Memcached, and distributed queueing with Kafka.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure; React; gRPC; and API specifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability and willingness to work onsite five days per week.
