Consultant, Process Engineering

Location: Toronto, ON; hybrid work arrangement with 2–3 days per week on-site and the remaining days remote.

What you will do

• Conduct comprehensive reviews of current-state workflows to identify inefficiencies, risks, control gaps, and opportunities to improve performance, quality, and client experience.
• Analyze process and business data, quantify impacts, identify issues, and present practical, data-driven recommendations to senior leaders and stakeholders.
• Lead process engineering, continuous improvement, project management, and change management initiatives across cross-functional teams.
• Apply process engineering and business analysis tools to implement solutions, manage changes, maintain schedules, and support sustainable adoption.
• Maintain and update the Continuous Improvement platform and identify opportunities to improve reporting, analytics automation, and platform experience.
• Build relationships across the bank, facilitate collaboration, and support a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, finance, engineering, or a related field, and/or 3 to 5 years of demonstrated experience in these disciplines.
• Experience in Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing concepts and in process engineering or a related business function such as operations, strategy development, organizational design, or information technology.
• Strong analytical skills, including investigating complex problems, identifying patterns, and translating detailed data into actionable insights.
• Strong technical and digital fluency, with the ability to learn and apply technologies to business problems.
• Experience with Excel, Power BI, Power Automate, Python, AI tools, or similar technologies.
• Experience with process engineering methodologies, business analysis, project management, and change management.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively, lead discussions, navigate ambiguity, adapt to change, and build alignment across teams.
• Legal eligibility to work at the specified location and, where applicable, a valid work or study permit.

Nice to have

• MBA, Lean or Six Sigma Green Belt, or experience with automation or AI tools.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC, Agile, and related analytics strategies.
