Staff Accountant - Revenue

Location: 100% remote anywhere in Mexico; up to 5% travel required.

What you will do

• Support daily and weekly finance functions and maintain controls over accounting transactions.
• Assist with timely and accurate monthly financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure accurate and timely client invoicing, facilitate collections, and apply client payments.
• Implement accounting systems, software, processes, and procedures.
• Support annual audit requests and prepare ad hoc reports and special projects.
• Maintain a customer service mindset for internal and external customers.

Requirements

• 3+ years of progressively responsible experience and an accounting degree.
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, written and verbal communication, organization, and independent and collaborative working skills.
• Commitment to producing error-free work and handling sensitive and confidential information with trustworthiness.
• High proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of AI tools such as Copilot and Claude, with the ability to drive process improvements using AI.
• Experience with multi-entity, multi-currency organizations.
• Ability to work in a remote environment and maintain a customer service mindset.

Nice to have

• Bilingual English and Spanish communication, fluent in spoken and written English and Spanish.
• Experience with international groups and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• CPA, Chartered Accountant, or equivalent qualification with public accounting experience.
• Familiarity with Sage Intacct accounting software.
