Billing Accountant

Location: Fully remote, based in Mexico. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Mexico. Core hours align with US Central or Eastern time zones, with at least 6 hours of overlap required.

Salary: $340,000–$425,000 USD annually, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Create subscription invoices, one-time invoices, and approved credit memos accurately and on time.
• Resolve billing inquiries from US-based customers and internal stakeholders through written and verbal English communication.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve billing issues involving invoices, credit and debit adjustments, billing records, product billing, and service cancellations.
• Log, categorize, prioritize, and track incidents in Salesforce Service Cloud with complete and accurate information.
• Coordinate with US-based departments and escalate unresolved issues through established processes while maintaining customer satisfaction and SLA adherence.
• Update and create knowledge resources and collaborate with teammates on timely issue resolution and continued process improvement.

Requirements

• Bilingual English and Spanish proficiency is required; strong written and spoken English fluency is essential for customer-facing and internal communications.
• 1–5 years of relevant experience in billing, accounting, or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of billing processes and internal billing operations.
• Thorough understanding of ticketing systems such as Salesforce Service Cloud.
• Strong knowledge of billing systems such as Workday Financials and Salesforce CPQ; training is available for strong candidates.
• Strong skills in invoicing, credit and debit adjustments, billing records, product billing, and service cancellations.
• Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, formatting, data merging, billing reporting, and reconciliation.
• Comfort working with AI tools such as Claude and AI billing agents in daily workflow and ticket resolution.
• Availability for US business hours, extended availability during month-end and quarter-end periods, and a reliable high-speed internet connection.
