Sr. Financial Analyst

Location: Remote, eligible for hire in select U.S. locations; listed location: Chicago, IL, United States.

Salary: USD 86,000–USD 100,000 yearly.

What you will do

• Support annual budgets, monthly forecasts, SMTM updates, quarterly reforecasts, and client portfolio planning.
• Own variance analysis, forecast bridges, account reconciliations, budget tracking, and period-close updates.
• Maintain client and intercompany billing schedules tied to MSAs, SOWs, change orders, and scope or resourcing changes.
• Build and improve Excel-based financial models, reporting tools, policies, and procedures.
• Improve planning and reporting through D365, Adaptive, Power BI, and approved AI tools, validating AI outputs for accuracy and data privacy.
• Partner with account management, project management, finance leaders, operational teams, and senior leadership; present findings to non-finance audiences.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education plus professional experience.
• Three to five years of experience in a finance role; agency experience is preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Working knowledge of client MSAs, SOWs, and change orders, plus data analysis and forecasting.
• Knowledge of GAAP.
• Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, organization, prioritization, adaptability, and self-motivation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective internal and external relationships and explain financial findings clearly.
• Ability to listen actively and solve problems using diplomacy, fairness, firmness, and sound judgment.

Nice to have

• Experience with Dynamics 365, Adaptive Planning, or Power BI.
• Agency experience.
