Senior Software Engineer (Legaltech)

Location: Kraków, Małopolskie, Poland; office-based role.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain large-scale services, job pipelines, and systems.
• Define architecture and technology stacks for new and concurrent systems.
• Collaborate with Software Engineering and Product stakeholders to understand product needs.
• Solve complex problems with a focus on security, performance, and scalability.
• Debug production issues across services and multiple stack levels.
• Improve engineering standards, tooling, and development processes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial Software Development Engineer experience and 5+ years of programming experience.
• Programming experience with at least one modern language: Go, C#, C/C++, or Python.
• Experience with a modern JavaScript frontend framework such as React, Next.js, Vue.js, or Angular.
• Experience contributing to architecture and design of new and concurrent systems.
• Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems, including designing and implementing APIs.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL databases and Elasticsearch or Redis data stores.
• Strong computer science and development fundamentals, including object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithm design.
• Experience with AI-assisted coding tools such as Codex or Claude Code.
• Self-starter with an operational focus and strong problem-solving ability.
• Working proficiency in written and spoken English.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience working in a SaaS company.
• Knowledge of monitoring and analytics platforms such as Datadog or Amplitude.
