What you will do
- Design, develop, and deploy robust, scalable backend software for the B2B iGaming platform, game servers, and APIs.
- Lead technical design, code reviews, and architectural decisions for new features and systems.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and collaborate with product managers, QA, and stakeholders through planning and retrospectives.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks so systems support high transaction volumes and concurrent users with low latency.
- Ensure systems meet iGaming jurisdictional standards, technical compliance requirements, software security, and data protection practices.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and deliver timely fixes while maintaining clean, documented code.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer with a strong backend development background.
- Deep knowledge of one or more modern programming languages, such as C#, Java, Go, Python, or Node.js.
- Extensive experience building and consuming APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Proficiency in database design and management across SQL databases, including PostgreSQL and MySQL, and NoSQL databases, including MongoDB and Redis.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, plus understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD, and containerisation.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Direct experience in iGaming, online gaming, or a high-transactional SaaS industry.
- Understanding of the regulatory environment and technical compliance requirements within iGaming.
