Senior Software Engineer, Python (Remote)

Location: Fully remote, based in Poland; candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to Poland and must have the right to work without sponsorship. Warsaw is listed as the location.

What you will do

• Design, build, maintain, deploy, and operate robust Python services and applications serving high volumes of production traffic.
• Own software throughout its lifecycle using CI/CD, infrastructure, monitoring, and observability.
• Deliver roadmap work to agreed quality, reliability, performance, and delivery standards.
• Build automated tests, participate in code reviews and architecture discussions, and address technical debt and reliability risks.
• Participate in incident response and improve system reliability and recovery speed.
• Guide junior engineers, advise stakeholders, and collaborate with product, design, data, engineering, and platform users.

Requirements

• Strong professional experience building and operating production software.
• Advanced knowledge of Python.
• Understanding of software design, testing, engineering best practices, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience building and operating services in distributed or microservices environments.
• Experience with relational and/or document databases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Experience with Docker and containerized applications.
• Understanding of production operations, observability, reliability, and performance.
• Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants and/or development agents in daily software development.
• Ability to work independently, make sound decisions on complex and ambiguous problems, take ownership of software quality, security, and maintainability, communicate clearly, collaborate across disciplines, and continuously improve engineering practices.
• Experience with the listed or comparable technologies, including Python, FastAPI, Flask, CherryPy, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, RabbitMQ, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, Vault, Grafana, ELK Stack, New Relic, Git, GitLab, CI/CD, JIRA, Confluence, Slack, and Miro; experience with every listed tool is not required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes and AWS, and with Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code technologies.
• Experience with event-driven systems and messaging.
• Experience integrating LLMs or AI capabilities into production software, building AI-powered applications, or developing agentic workflows.
• Experience working in a globally distributed and remote environment.
• Experience contributing to open-source projects.
