Senior UX Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote within the United States, with in-person office collaboration required 1–2 times per year; US-based applicants only.

Base salary: $155,584–$320,320 USD per year, plus equity eligibility.

What you will do

• Drive technical direction for cross-platform design-system libraries and design solutions that support current and future scale.
• Bridge design and engineering by maintaining UX vision through code, technical architecture, and data.
• Evolve design standards, guidelines, reusable components, and design-system tooling.
• Use AI to create, develop, and distribute high-fidelity prototypes for product alignment and user testing.
• Build tooling that helps designers and engineers use AI in daily workflows.
• Mentor team members and contribute to design reviews, code reviews, decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a design technologist, engineer, or UX engineer.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Proven track record delivering highly reliable technical solutions that scale.
• Deep experience with native mobile UI development using Android SDK, Kotlin, UIKit, and Swift.
• Experience developing a design system or leading design-system initiatives.
• Experience breaking down complex challenges into smaller decisions framed as trade-offs, such as time versus scope.
• Track record delivering large cross-functional projects across multiple organizations and championing developer experience, performance, and quality.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including effective work with cross-functional teams.
• Basic awareness of accessibility principles and commitment to continued learning.
• Demonstrated ability to use AI to improve speed and quality in day-to-day work.
• Strong human-in-the-loop practices for evaluating and verifying AI-assisted work, including testing, source-checking, data validation, and peer review.
