Process Safety Management (PSM) & Quality Manager

Location: Midland, Michigan, United States; fully onsite five days per week

What you will do

• Lead process hazard analyses, hazard reviews, action plans, recommendation tracking, PSM training, documentation, audits, self-assessments, and compliance activities.
• Manage PSM elements including Management of Change, Mechanical Integrity, Process Safety Information, and corrective-action management.
• Lead site QA, QC, and PSM programs while ensuring compliance with ISO, Quality System, hirify.global PSM, OSHA, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, SH&E, Production, Sales, Technical, and site leadership teams to resolve safety, process, product, and customer quality issues.
• Drive continuous improvement through statistical analysis, process control, corrective actions, laboratory procedures, LIMS, quality documentation, and shipment release activities.
• Manage departmental budgets, priorities, employees, and change initiatives; participate in site leadership and regional and global quality initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of technical experience in PSM and quality, including MOC, Mechanical Integrity, Process Safety Information, and corrective-action management.
• Knowledge of QA/QC, ISO management systems, Statistical Process Control, continuous improvement, manufacturing process control, and laboratory systems.
• Working knowledge of OSHA Process Safety Management principles.
• Strong analytical, organizational, facilitation, coaching, and cross-functional communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, SH&E, and site leadership.

Nice to have

• Experience in chemical, oil and gas, or manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with PHA methodologies such as HAZOP, What-If/Checklist, or FMEA.
