Process Safety Management (PSM) Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Mojave, California, United States. Only U.S. citizens, Green Card holders, and political asylees or refugees are eligible to apply.

Base salary: $80,000–$95,000 annually, with a possible annual bonus of up to 4.5% of base salary.

What you will do

• Implement and continuously improve the Mojave site's process safety management systems in compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements.
• Lead monthly PSM Leadership Team meetings and track process safety leading indicators to develop risk-reduction action plans.
• Coordinate management of change, process hazard analysis, safe operating limits, documentation, training, and program assessments.
• Facilitate investigations of high-potential process safety events and significant process failures, providing technical counsel on incidents and risk mitigation.
• Support new projects and facility expansions from a process safety perspective, including PHA scheduling and resource planning.
• Network with corporate and business-unit process safety managers and facilitate property loss prevention improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• At least 3 years of Process Safety Management experience in a manufacturing or chemical plant environment.
• Understanding of OSHA PSM regulations.
• Knowledge of process hazard analysis and risk assessment methodologies.
• Experience collaborating effectively with all levels of an organization.
• U.S. work eligibility as a U.S. citizen, Green Card holder, political asylee, or refugee.
