Software Engineer III (Backend)

Location: Tel Aviv, Israel; in-person interview required.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable, event-driven microservices for a cloud-based SaaS identity analytics product.
• Build new product capabilities from the ground up using Java and modern Java frameworks.
• Design and develop RESTful APIs and ensure high code quality through unit and end-to-end testing.
• Participate in architecture discussions, peer code reviews, and agile cross-functional collaboration.
• Monitor and improve production performance and reliability, optimize CI/CD pipelines, and drive end-to-end technical initiatives.
• Use AI development tools, prompting, agentic workflows, and human-in-the-loop review to accelerate delivery while validating and owning shipped code.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java and modern Java frameworks.
• Experience with object-oriented analysis, design principles, and design patterns.
• Experience designing, developing, and deploying RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Ability to produce unit and end-to-end tests ensuring high code quality and test coverage.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Comfort with AI-assisted engineering, prompting, agentic workflows, and human-in-the-loop review of AI-generated code.

Nice to have

• Experience building cloud-native applications on AWS.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, observability tools, and production performance metrics.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging systems.
• Experience with Cursor, Claude Code, Python-based AI/ML libraries such as scikit-learn, pandas, and numpy, PyTorch, or LLMs and foundation models in Bedrock, Vertex AI, or similar platforms.
