Senior xEngineer (Backend Oriented) - User Voice

What you will do

• Design and evolve a large-scale, event-driven microservices backend that processes feedback in real time and in batch.
• Expand the platform to support new feedback channels and user signal types with reliable, high-quality ingestion.
• Build and improve AI pipeline stages using LLM-based information extraction, semantic representation, retrieval, and clustering.
• Establish automated quality measurement, regression evaluation for model and prompt changes, and readiness criteria for new channels.
• Collaborate with data engineering, data science, and product to move capabilities from idea to production.
• Ensure reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency as core platform properties.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong backend orientation and experience designing and owning distributed, event-driven systems at scale.
• Hands-on experience building LLM-based systems in production, including extraction pipelines, structured outputs, prompt and model lifecycle management, and handling quality, cost, and latency failure modes.
• Strong prompt engineering skills, including designing, iterating, and versioning prompts for reliable structured results at scale.
• Experience evaluating AI systems through quality metrics, evaluation datasets, model benchmarking and selection per task, and validation before release.
• Working understanding of applied machine learning in production, including embeddings, vector search, and clustering algorithms.
• Solid understanding of large-scale data processing, including pipelines, backfills, reprocessing, and warehouse-scale SQL.

Nice to have

• Experience with a JVM language such as Scala, Java, or Kotlin, plus solid Python skills.
• Experience with vector search engines or RAG architectures.
• Background in voice-of-customer, feedback analytics, or similar insight products.
