Backend Engineer (Data/AI)

Location: Fully on-site at the Attribute office, Carlibach St 29, Tel Aviv, Israel.

What you will do

• Implement new product features from proposal and specification through development, deployment, and maintenance.
• Build and operate ETL processes, data pipelines, and backend services for Attribute.
• Review code and provide feedback during planning and implementation.
• Use AI across the daily engineering workflow for code exploration, prototyping, debugging, testing, and documentation.
• Collaborate with product, support, frontend, and engineering teams to identify gaps and develop solutions.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, backend engineering, or a similar field.
• 2+ years of practical experience with Python, Spark, and PySpark.
• Experience building ETL processes and working with big-data technologies such as Pub/Sub.
• Familiarity with Terraform and CI/CD methodologies.
• Experience building or operating data pipelines in a SaaS production cloud environment.
• Ability to learn tools and technologies quickly, use AI effectively, and apply sound engineering judgment.
• Strong collaboration and independent-contributor skills, with excellent communication.
• Growth-minded, pragmatic problem-solving approach, including simplifying complexity and iterating from MVPs using data and feedback.

Nice to have

• Experience with C or C#.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform.
