Manager, Financial Reporting and Accounting Operations

Salary: $140,000–$160,000 per year

What you will do

• Prepare monthly internal management, lender, investor, and ad hoc financial reporting materials.
• Provide technical accounting guidance on new standards, complex transactions, and financial reporting issues.
• Lead annual financial reporting and the external audit process, including preparation of the annual financial statement package.
• Develop accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls supporting a SOX-compliant environment.
• Own monthly consolidation, intercompany reconciliations and eliminations, subsidiary trial balance reviews, and consolidated reporting translation.
• Manage accounts payable, expense reimbursement, inventory accounting, ASC 842, equity, debt, account reconciliations, and monthly close activities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of accounting experience, including experience in Big 4, a public company SEC reporting role, or a similar environment.
• CPA license required.
• In-depth knowledge of US GAAP required.
• Proven ability to lead audits and compile annual financial statements.
• Ability to research and explain technical accounting guidance for complex transactions and financial reporting issues in clear terms.
• Willingness to research, test, deploy, and manage modern technology solutions for accounting efficiency and automation.

Nice to have

• Experience with multinational corporations, foreign currency, and intercompany accounting.
• Experience implementing automation tools in accounting-specific contexts.
• Experience in a public company and/or SOX-compliant environment.
• Inventory accounting, cost accounting, or manufacturing experience.
• ERP experience, preferably NetSuite.
• Experience with Workiva, FloQast, and Ramp.
• Familiarity with French GAAP and/or government accounting.
