Senior Accounting Analyst (Digital Assets)

Location: Chicago office; expected to work in the office at least 4 days per week.

Annual base salary: $120,000–$130,000 USD.

What you will do

• Execute monthly accounting close activities for multiple digital asset legal entities.
• Maintain general ledger integrity, reconcile transaction-level details and complex balances, and post accounting activity.
• Prepare period-end financial reporting and ensure books and records are complete, accurate, and GAAP-compliant.
• Analyze monthly variances, trends, and anomalies to explain business performance.
• Identify process improvements and build automation solutions, including advancing AI initiatives.
• Support external audits, tax-return schedules, and cross-functional work with tax, operations, and data teams.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of accounting experience in a fast-paced, multi-entity organization, including ownership of the general ledger, reconciliation of complex accounts, and improvement of close processes.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to analyze monthly variances and identify trends and anomalies.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
• Self-directed, adaptable, dependable, detail-oriented, and highly organized, with the ability to manage competing deadlines and work independently and collaboratively during critical close periods.
• Ability to produce clear and accurate documentation.
• Reliable and predictable availability.

Nice to have

• Experience in trading industry accounting and/or digital assets.
• CPA or equivalent certification.
