Logistics Planning Technician

Location: Desford, Leicestershire, United Kingdom; full-time onsite role with 37.5-hour weeks. Travel is not required.

Salary: £35,200, rising to £39,000 when role goals are met.

What you will do

• Support Logistics and production activities, including material flow, asset storage, data, and operational reporting.
• Develop and update standard work instructions using tools such as Geneo.
• Maintain accurate systems, data, and trackers for asset management and material movement.
• Support safe changes through risk assessments and lift plans for new tasks, equipment, and automation.
• Identify practical efficiency improvements using operational data and participate in Rapid Improvement Workshops.
• Follow Health & Safety requirements and complete required training.

Requirements

• Confident use of Excel and digital tools to maintain accurate information, analyze data, and produce clear reports.
• Ability to review data and processes, identify problems or opportunities, and propose practical improvements.
• Effective communication with colleagues, stakeholders, and suppliers, including issue resolution and support for operational priorities.
• Ability to create and update clear work instructions and processes so work is completed safely, consistently, and to the required standard.
• Relevant qualifications and experience must be demonstrated on the CV because the panel cannot make assumptions during shortlisting.

Nice to have

• Experience with Glovia, SAP, Power BI, Power Apps, or SharePoint for managing information, materials, assets, or reporting.
• Knowledge of risk assessment and continuous improvement principles.
• British Safety Council Level 2, CPS Green Belt, or similar training.
• Understanding of automation and digital technology, with basic PLC programming knowledge desirable for supporting automated equipment and future process improvements.
