Software Engineer, University Grad (AI/ML)

Location: Hybrid schedule from the Mountain View, California office.

Salary: $115,000–$150,000 annual base salary, with some roles potentially eligible for variable compensation, equity, and benefits.

Glean develops an enterprise Work AI platform with intelligent search, an AI Assistant, scalable AI agents, SaaS connectors, LLM integrations, and APIs.

What you will do

• Own impactful infrastructure problems from inception and architecture through production launch.
• Design, develop, maintain, and ship software solutions powering Glean products and services.
• Write design documents and robust, high-quality, well-tested code.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to identify and prioritize impactful roadmap projects.
• Mentor more junior engineers or learn from experienced engineers.

Requirements

• BA/BS in computer science or a related field, completed before joining.
• Experience working on infrastructure for distributed systems or cloud-native applications.
• Experience building and shipping ML models and/or solving NLP problems.
• Experience in recommendation systems, natural language processing, applied machine learning, large-scale production search or ranking systems, or related systems.
• Experience building fast web applications.
• Strong coding skills in languages such as Go, Python, Java, JavaScript, or C++, with emphasis on reliability, scale, and well-tested components.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work with data.
• Ability to design, build, and ship production-ready models.
• Ability to work a hybrid schedule from the Mountain View office; customer-focused, collaborative, proactive, and ownership-oriented approach.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with cloud-native development practices in GCP, AWS, or Azure.
