Labour Relations Advisor (Spanish Employment Law)

Location: Madrid, Spain; hybrid, with office attendance 2–3 days per week depending on business needs.

What you will do

• Provide expert advice on individual and collective labour relations matters in Spain.
• Support consultations and negotiations with employee representatives and advise on disciplinary actions, grievances, investigations and terminations.
• Draft and review employment-related communications and support organizational changes and workforce management initiatives.
• Deliver practical advice on Spanish employment law, assess employment risks and support regulatory change implementation.
• Manage labour litigation, inspections and administrative proceedings with external counsel and labour authorities.
• Partner with HR Business Partners, managers and business leaders to support compliant and consistent decision-making.

Requirements

• Law Degree.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in employment law, labour relations or a similar role.
• Experience advising on Spanish employment law within a multinational company, labour law firm or similarly complex environment.
• Demonstrated experience managing labour litigation and administrative proceedings, including labour inspections and regulatory authorities.
• Experience handling complex individual and collective labour relations matters.
• Native or fluent Spanish and fluent English.
• Strong knowledge of Spanish labour law and employment regulations.
• Excellent analytical and legal reasoning skills, with the ability to translate complex legal concepts into practical business solutions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, autonomy, accountability, professional judgement and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
