Senior Legal Counsel (AI & Privacy)

hirify.global builds consumer AI applications for mobile and web at global scale, operating through six focused vertical companies and a headquarters platform supporting more than 60 apps.

What you will do

• Advise product teams on privacy by design across the app lifecycle, including data mapping, DPIAs, privacy notices, consent, and SDK or third-party data flows.
• Lead AI governance and readiness, including AI feature reviews, transparency obligations, model and vendor terms, and internal AI-use policies.
• Track and implement regulations affecting consumer apps, including GDPR, US state privacy laws, the EU AI Act, DSA, and children's privacy requirements.
• Support entity management, governance, corporate transactions, restructurings, and new entity set-ups across group companies.
• Draft and negotiate SaaS, AI vendor, data processing, advertising, attribution, influencer, content, publishing, acquisition, and licensing agreements.
• Advise on subscriptions, auto-renewal, free trials, pricing, cancellation flows, consumer protection, marketing claims, app store compliance, web checkout, and launches in new markets.

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer with 6+ years of post-qualification experience, combining top law firm and in-house experience at a technology, internet, or digital company.
• Strong hands-on privacy experience with GDPR and at least one other major privacy regime, ideally US state laws, plus working knowledge of AI regulation.
• Solid corporate experience covering governance, entity management, and transaction support.
• Broad commercial contracting experience with direct negotiation of counterparties.
• Consumer technology experience covering subscriptions, consumer protection, digital marketing, and platform rules.
• Experience across multiple jurisdictions and coordinating external counsel.
• Experience reporting to a Head of Legal or Legal & Compliance lead in a lean team.
• Pragmatic commercial judgment and the ability to provide clear, risk-weighted answers quickly.
• Fluent written and spoken English and Spanish.
• Comfort using AI and automation tools in legal work.

Nice to have

• Mobile apps experience, including App Store and Google Play policies, in-app subscriptions, ad-tech, and attribution SDKs.
• Hands-on AI Act readiness or AI governance programme experience.
• Privacy certification such as CIPP/E, CIPP/US, or similar.
