Senior/Staff Software Engineer (AI)

Salary: $166,130–$282,420 annually; an additional stated range is $206,000–$350,200 annually.

hirify.global is a financial technology company with a newly acquired startup building an AI-enabled autonomous banking platform for Tier-1 financial institutions.

What you will do

• Build and evolve core banking capabilities covering products, accounts, transactions, transfers, journals, balances, interest, workflows, and compliance controls.
• Define reliable APIs, events, and data contracts for a coherent and auditable banking platform.
• Own services end to end, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, operation, and continuous improvement.
• Diagnose production incidents across distributed services, data infrastructure, and event-driven workflows; establish observability, alerting, operational controls, and recovery procedures.
• Design for correctness, auditability, scalability, and resilience at Tier-1 banking scale while improving testing, CI/CD, safe deployment, rollback, and recovery practices.
• Use AI-assisted engineering, MCP servers, agent workflows, and automated runbooks where they improve engineering or operational outcomes; mentor and coach across the organization.

Requirements

• Deep experience designing and building complex distributed systems at scale using a strongly typed, compiled language. Go is preferred; comparable languages are accepted.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and Kafka or equivalent streaming platforms.
• Strong understanding of concurrency, consistency, invariants, idempotency, failure modes, and distributed-system trade-offs.
• Substantial experience operating and debugging critical production systems, ideally including on-call and incident response across application, data, and infrastructure boundaries.
• Practical experience with observability, reliability engineering, capacity planning, deployment safety, and disaster recovery.
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, GitOps, and modern production-engineering practices.
• Ability to evaluate and clearly explain architectural trade-offs, communicate complex systems precisely, and work across coding, architecture, operations, and cross-team delivery.
• Ability to use AI to amplify engineering expertise while retaining human ownership of design, validation, security, and production outcomes.
