TPS Engineer (Semiconductor Equipment)

Location: Albuquerque, NM; Chandler, AZ; or Hillsboro, OR, United States. Travel required 50% of the time; relocation is not eligible.

Salary: $96,000–$132,000 per year.

What you will do

• Provide technical product support for complex semiconductor manufacturing equipment and hardware.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, vacuum, gas delivery, thermal, pneumatic, hydraulic, and related subsystems.
• Perform root-cause analysis and drive recurring or escalated hardware issues through resolution.
• Support equipment installation, qualification, maintenance, repair, upgrades, modifications, and new product introductions.
• Analyze equipment data and field issues to improve reliability, serviceability, uptime, and corrective actions.
• Partner with engineering, manufacturing, field service, and customer teams while providing technical guidance to field engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related engineering discipline.
• Hands-on experience supporting, troubleshooting, installing, or sustaining complex semiconductor equipment.
• Ability to systematically troubleshoot equipment and perform root-cause analysis.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, system diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across engineering, field service, manufacturing, and customer teams.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting semiconductor capital equipment in field service, product support, systems engineering, equipment engineering, or hardware engineering.
• Experience with Epitaxy, CVD, PVD, Etch, CMP, Implant, or other wafer fabrication processes.
• Experience with equipment installations, hardware upgrades, retrofits, or new product introductions.
• Experience resolving escalated technical issues in customer or production environments.
• Experience working with design or systems engineering teams to implement hardware improvements.
