Equipment Engineer (Wafer Fab)

Location: USA - CA - San Jose (Rose); onsite work in a 24/7 clean-room wafer fab manufacturing environment.

Salary: $87,550.00–$125,050.00 annually.

What you will do

• Own one or more equipment sets within a wafer fab manufacturing operation and maintain overall equipment availability and performance according to SEMI E10.
• Design and implement maintenance programs to improve tool availability and reduce cost of ownership.
• Analyze MTBF, uptime, MTTR, and other equipment performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
• Write preventive-maintenance procedures, checklists, troubleshooting guides, and work instructions.
• Evaluate and recommend new process equipment, and plan, manage, and execute equipment installations and upgrades.
• Support continuous improvement in reliability, availability, yield, quality, cost, and scrap reduction; assist technicians with critical down-tool troubleshooting and maintain spare-part BOMs.

Requirements

• Solid background in equipment maintenance supporting a 24/7 clean-room manufacturing environment.
• Ability to generate equipment work instructions.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
• Basic understanding of environmental, health, and safety requirements related to equipment maintenance.
• Basic understanding of electronics and ability to read schematics.
• Basic understanding of electromechanical systems, vacuum, and pneumatics.
• Ability to lead equipment maintenance troubleshooting to the root cause of down equipment.
• Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and Project.
