Telecom MSP Project Manager (Telecom)

What you will do

• Lead multiple telecommunications and managed services projects from initiation through closeout.
• Deliver infrastructure implementations involving Ethernet, SD-WAN, GPON, and firewalls across multiple customer sites.
• Direct engineering, operations, and service delivery teams, coordinating milestones, resources, risks, dependencies, and scope changes.
• Coordinate with major carriers including AT&T, Lumen/CenturyLink, and Verizon on circuit ordering, provisioning, escalations, and service implementation.
• Manage project plans, budgets, KPIs, reporting, documentation, customer communications, and executive stakeholder expectations.
• Improve project management processes and mentor project managers; senior-level roles own strategic carrier and executive relationships.

Requirements

• Mid-level: 1–3 years of experience in project management, project coordination, or operations within telecommunications or managed services.
• Senior: 7+ years of progressive experience in project management, program management, or senior operations within telecommunications or managed services.
• Experience with telecom and network infrastructure projects, including Ethernet, SD-WAN, GPON, and firewall deployments.
• Experience coordinating carriers on circuit ordering, provisioning, and service implementations, plus managing multiple vendors and carrier timelines across concurrent projects.
• Ability to manage project budgets, resources, timelines, risks, dependencies, scope changes, and cost control.
• Proficiency with project management tools, ticketing systems, and business intelligence or reporting platforms.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, organization, attention to detail, and written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to leadership and customers.
• Senior-level roles require experience with large-scale or multi-million-dollar initiatives, complex implementations, strategic thinking, mentoring, and executive/C-level communication.

Nice to have

• Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification.
• Experience with multi-site, enterprise-level business connectivity projects.
• Deep knowledge of telecom ordering processes, including ASR/LSR concepts and carrier provisioning workflows.
• Experience with Agile or hybrid project management methodologies.
• Vendor management and contract negotiation experience.
• Track record of delivering projects ahead of schedule or under budget.
