Staff Product Designer (AI)

Location: Remote U.S.

Base salary: $236K–$278K annually, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Set the end-to-end experience vision and roadmap for Activation, from first login through activation.
• Shape product direction with product management and engineering partners using customer evidence and data.
• Design agent-first experiences, including decisions about automation, human review, approval, and trust.
• Create reusable AI patterns and scale guided, agentic experiences across teams.
• Define activation outcomes, instrument metrics with Data, and run experiments and iterations.
• Lead customer discovery, cross-functional initiatives, stakeholder reviews, product strategy documentation, design critique, mentorship, and hiring-bar activities.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience designing and shipping high-quality B2B SaaS products, including work spanning multiple teams and quarters.
• Demonstrated impact on activation, onboarding completion, time-to-value, retention, or similar business outcomes, with measurable before-and-after results.
• Experience shipping AI-powered or automation-heavy products and defining how people and agents work together.
• Ability to set direction in ambiguous, high-stakes problem spaces, frame problems, write briefs, make tradeoffs, and communicate a clear position.
• Strong written strategy skills, including product briefs, strategy documents, or roadmaps used by leadership for decisions.
• Experience leading large-scale cross-functional initiatives and running meetings, reviews, and rituals that keep stakeholders aligned.
• Fluency with product analytics and experimentation, including defining metrics, designing tests, and adapting based on results.
• Exceptional interaction, visual, and content craft for dense, complex product interfaces, plus experience building scalable patterns.
• Strong storytelling and communication skills, experience collaborating with other designers, and a record of mentoring and giving useful feedback.
• Portfolio required, showing end-to-end product work, decision rationale, and delivered outcomes.

Nice to have

• Experience with product-led growth, onboarding, or guided setup for small teams or founders.
• Experience designing agentic workflows, conversational interfaces, or human-in-the-loop review flows.
• Comfort prototyping in code or with AI tools to test ideas quickly.
• Familiarity with security, compliance, or GRC.
