Financial Analyst, Revenue, Contract (16 Months)

Location: Toronto, ON, Canada

Salary: CAD 75,000–93,000 base pay annually; 16-month contract.

What you will do

• Manage the revenue recognition month-end close process and ensure timely, accurate financial results.
• Analyze product-related sales, review contract terms, research accounting guidance, and determine appropriate treatment for significant arrangements.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue reporting and analyze performance against plan and forecasts.
• Maintain revenue accounting procedures and internal controls in compliance with US GAAP.
• Draft technical accounting memos for new pronouncements, perform account reconciliations, and maintain reporting procedures.
• Collaborate with Sales, Business Development, Fulfillment, Finance, and external auditors on accounting, controls, reporting, and ad hoc projects.

Requirements

• CPA with Big Four experience or equivalent experience in the technology industry desired.
• Superior Excel and ERP experience required; SAP experience is an asset.
• Strong IFRS 15 and/or ASC 606 technical accounting experience, including the ability to analyze complex standards and draft accounting policy.
• US GAAP experience is an asset.
• Ability to research accounting guidance and determine accounting treatment for special transactions.
• Experience automating and improving finance and revenue processes.
• Power BI reporting and dashboard development experience.
• Hands-on experience with the SAP RAR module.
• Strong written, oral, interpersonal, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
