Billing Specialist

Salary: $56,700–$60,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Process contracts for software, subscription, hardware, and support renewals, including procurement of third-party products and services.
• Record revenue and direct costs in accordance with revenue recognition policies and established internal controls.
• Review contract terms, calculate customer amounts due, apply discounts, rates, and credits, and identify non-standard terms.
• Enter sales orders for new orders, add-on sales, and projects into the ERP system to support accurate billing and revenue recognition.
• Manage purchase orders, vendor invoices, credit requests, delivery tracking, and billing record updates.
• Resolve billing discrepancies with internal teams, customers, and partners, alert management to revenue-impacting issues, and support month-, quarter-, and year-end close and audit requests.

Requirements

• Analytical skills, attention to detail, clear verbal and written communication, time management, and the ability to follow outlined processes and direction.
• Ability to identify and highlight processing irregularities and communicate professionally and effectively with internal and external customers.
• Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Degree or background in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Previous billing experience.
