Billing Analyst (Fintech)

Location: Manila, Philippines; hybrid setup with two office days per week. US shift following Eastern Time Zone and US holidays.

What you will do

• Prepare, generate, distribute, and validate client invoices against contracts, pricing schedules, service agreements, discounts, and company policies.
• Audit and reconcile billing data, investigate discrepancies and disputes, and process approved credits, refunds, and billing adjustments.
• Coordinate with Finance, Sales, Operations, Client Service, and other internal teams to gather billing information and resolve issues.
• Respond to client questions about invoices, charges, and adjustments with clear and professional explanations.
• Prepare billing reports and metrics covering invoicing accuracy, collections, and payments.
• Improve billing workflows, maintain billing systems and audit-ready documentation, support audits, and test system updates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field preferred; an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience is considered.
• 1–3 years of experience in billing, finance operations, accounting operations, or a related analytical role.
• Experience supporting client invoicing, reconciliations, or transaction-based billing in a fintech, broker-dealer, financial services, or regulated environment.
• Ability to interpret contracts, pricing schedules, and fee arrangements and validate billing against agreed terms.
• Experience investigating and resolving billing discrepancies, credits, and client inquiries accurately and professionally.
• Exposure to cross-functional workflows involving Sales, Product, Operations, Client Service, or Finance.
• Proficiency with billing systems or financial platforms and strong Excel or spreadsheet skills, including lookups, pivot tables, and reconciliations.
• Experience supporting audits, maintaining documentation, and complying with internal controls and policies.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, time-management, problem-solving, customer-service, and attention-to-detail skills; familiarity with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle.

Nice to have

• Experience in a broker-dealer, clearing firm, payments platform, or SaaS billing environment.
• Familiarity with usage-based, transaction-based, or tiered pricing models and high-volume or complex billing environments.
• Prior client-facing experience with billing inquiries or dispute resolution.
• Exposure to SQL, Tableau, or Power BI and experience working in fast-paced cross-functional environments.
