Strategy Insights & Planning Associate Consultant (Life Sciences & Commercial Strategy)

Location: Hybrid, with offices/client presence in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Princeton, New Jersey; and New York, New York, United States. Travel is required for client-facing employees as needed.

Salary: $120,000.00–$137,000.00 per year.

What you will do

• Develop structured solutions to client business problems using problem-solving frameworks.
• Conduct market and desk research and derive insights for client decision-making.
• Design custom analyses using Excel and proprietary hirify.global software.
• Synthesize and present findings and recommendations to clients and internal teams.
• Support commercial excellence initiatives, including field force strategy, customer engagement planning, performance analytics, and business optimization.
• Manage project-plan activities, client status updates, risk and issue mitigation, client relationships, and mentoring of Associates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in any discipline with strong academic performance in quantitative and analytical coursework, such as operations research, applied mathematics, management science, data science, statistics, econometrics, or engineering.
• 3+ years of relevant post-collegiate experience; a PhD may substitute for work experience.
• Exposure to commercial analytics, market research, forecasting, customer insights, or strategic consulting.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or broader life sciences industry is strongly preferred.
• Ability to combine quantitative analysis with qualitative insights and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Ability to work with ambiguity and shifting priorities, build client relationships, and communicate effectively with clients and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Basic AI aptitude and curiosity, with openness to using AI-enabled tools for research, analysis, problem-solving, and productivity.
• Strong oral and written communication, attention to detail, self-discipline, initiative, adaptability, empathy, and a quality-focused mindset.
• Fluency in English, a client-first mentality, strong work ethic, collaborative problem-solving approach, and aptitude for team leadership.
• Authorization to work in the United States without requiring employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.
