Consultant - EMC (Life Sciences)

Location: Remote, eligible for hire in select U.S. locations; listed location is San Francisco, CA, United States. Some travel may be required.

Salary: USD 129,000–139,000 yearly, including billable hours commission; not applicable outside the U.S.

What you will do

• Lead targeted secondary research, including desk research and secondary data analysis, with minimal oversight.
• Conduct primary research through interviews with key opinion leaders and insurance payers.
• Synthesize research insights into logical and effective client recommendations.
• Independently run work streams, meet deadlines, and support junior team members.
• Develop client communications and deliverables, including PowerPoint presentations and Excel models.
• Contribute to consulting capabilities, infrastructure, and a high-performance culture while supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant concentration such as business, economics, life sciences, or engineering, with a strong academic record.
• At least 1 year of experience at a life science consultancy, including work on multiple projects and associate- or analyst-level responsibilities.
• Strong passion for and understanding of the dynamics and issues affecting the pharmaceutical and biotech industries.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work Monday to Friday for 40 hours per week; overtime and/or weekend or evening work may be required to meet project deadlines.
