Manufacturing Engineer (Gas Turbine Components)

Location: Office/site only in Charlotte, North Carolina, United States.

What you will do

• Support operators and production teams with process questions and product non-conformance issues during compressor component fabrication and machining.
• Review specifications, interpret process and design requirements, and work with design engineering on product deviations and engineering changes.
• Prepare technical documents, estimates, reports, training materials, presentations, and project updates.
• Support on-time delivery by ensuring manufacturing routers are complete and ready when required.
• Identify and justify projects improving manufacturing capability, yield, productivity, and capacity using Lean principles.
• Design, commission, and qualify custom tools, jigs, fixtures, tests, and gage R&R activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering, or an associate degree with direct experience.
• Working knowledge of PC applications, Microsoft Office, and CAD/NX software.
• Exposure to Lean concepts, MRP systems, and quality control systems.
• Experience working in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Nice to have

• 1+ years of manufacturing-environment experience involving welding, fabrication, machining, equipment maintenance, and testing.
• Working knowledge of gas turbine components and experience in design, manufacture, service, or repair.
• Experience with hirify.global customers, equipment, and processes.
• Candidates with more or less experience may be considered for a different level.
