What you will do

  • Develop and maintain manufacturing processes for fabrication, welding, assembly, wiring, testing, and material handling.
  • Create work instructions, routing sheets, process documentation, standard work, labor standards, and manufacturing methods.
  • Provide daily technical support to fabrication, mechanical assembly, and electrical assembly teams, troubleshooting issues that affect quality, productivity, and schedules.
  • Improve workflows and fixture concepts for structural steel crane components, girders, trolley frames, end trucks, and machinery structures.
  • Support mechanical assembly, electrical integration, PLC and VFD installation, operator controls, automation systems, commissioning, and factory testing.
  • Lead Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives focused on waste reduction, throughput, first-pass quality, rework, cost, safety, and ergonomics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • At least 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience in fabrication, industrial equipment, heavy machinery, structural steel, material handling, or engineered products manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of fabrication, welding, machining, assembly, and manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, and process optimization methodologies.
  • Ability to interpret fabrication and assembly drawings, electrical schematics, and engineering documentation; experience creating work instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and CAD software, along with strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting AWS welding standards and fabrication quality programs.
  • Overhead crane, heavy equipment, or industrial manufacturing experience.
