Senior Technology Risk Manager (Third-Party Risk)

Location: In-office role based in Pittsburgh, PA; Dallas, TX; Strongsville, OH; Phoenix, AZ; or Birmingham, AL, United States.

Base salary: $146,300.00–$326,040.00 annually; incentive eligible.

What you will do

• Lead the third-party technology risk function and a team of technology risk professionals.
• Design and continuously improve the technology risk program, methodology, thresholds, and operating model for critical and high-risk vendors, cloud providers, and material fourth parties.
• Direct risk assessments, inherent-risk tiering, due diligence, residual-risk conclusions, exceptions, risk acceptance, and credible challenge across the enterprise.
• Own key risk indicators, vendor risk ratings, scorecards, executive reporting, root-cause analysis, and time-bound remediation.
• Serve as the senior technology risk contact for regulatory examinations, Internal Audit, and Independent Risk Management reviews.
• Partner with Technology, Information Security, Resilience, Supply Chain, Legal, Enterprise Third-Party Management, and risk functions to influence contract, renewal, investment, contingency, and exit decisions.

Requirements

• 8+ years of industry-relevant experience and at least 5 years of prior management experience are typically required.
• Proven leadership experience with moderate to large scope of responsibility.
• Bachelor’s degree; a comparable combination of education, job-specific certification, and experience, including military service, may be considered instead.
• Knowledge of third-party risk management, strategic planning, risk management programs, regulatory compliance, people leadership, key risk indicators, information security, influencing change, emerging risks, credible challenge, conflict management, and cloud governance.
• Competence in decision-making and critical thinking, effective communication, industry knowledge, information security management, internal controls, IT environments, managing multiple priorities, operational risk, organizational governance, organizational savvy, and the regulatory environment for financial services.
• Must be able to work in an office-based setting at one of the listed United States locations.

Nice to have

• Change management, crisis management planning, operations management, and program risk management experience.
• Master’s degree, PhD, or relevant certifications.
