Enterprise Risk Control Assurance Testing Lead

Location: New York, United States; hybrid work with flexible in-office days

Base pay: $125,000–$175,000 per year, with potential discretionary bonus and additional benefits

What you will do

• Collaborate on a firm-wide framework for control assurance testing across key business processes.
• Conduct testing, document processes and controls, assess control effectiveness, and identify control gaps or failures.
• Manage projects by coordinating stakeholders, leading meetings, building consensus, and maintaining project schedules.
• Partner with operational risk leads to track remediation efforts and ensure continuous progress.
• Build reporting and dashboard infrastructure for operational risk metrics.
• Generate and distribute firm-wide and corporate risk reporting.

Requirements

• 8+ years of in-depth experience with risk management frameworks, methodologies, and standard processes, including application within a large financial institution.
• Ability to align operational risk management strategies with organizational goals and objectives.
• Ability to combine big-picture thinking with detailed analysis and delivery.
• Experience coordinating control testing engagements.
• Ability to work with both technical and business stakeholders; familiarity with coding and technology is preferred within the role's requirements.
• Critical and creative thinking to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for conveying risk information to stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, attention to detail, self-motivation, and collaborative working skills in a fast-paced environment.
