Accounting Manager (Fintech)

Location: Atlanta, GA; hybrid schedule with onsite work on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The office is expected to transition from Paces Ferry to Atlantic Station; timing is TBD.

What you will do

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close operations under US GAAP, including close calendars, journal entry reviews, reconciliations, consolidation, foreign currency remeasurement and translation, and allocations.
• Manage, mentor, and develop Senior and Staff Accountants through onboarding, technical training, goal-setting, coaching, and feedback.
• Review flux and variance analyses, prepare management commentary, and contribute to Controller presentations.
• Support SEC filings, including 10-K and 10-Q financial statements, footnotes, and supporting schedules.
• Maintain SOX Section 404 controls and partner with Internal Audit on control updates.
• Improve close, consolidation, reporting, and accounting workflows; lead adoption of AI-powered tools and develop an accounting technology roadmap.
• Translate business requirements into solution designs and partner with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Operations, and other teams on reporting and business impacts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and CPA certification are required.
• 7–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3–5+ years in a publicly traded SEC-reporting environment.
• 3+ years of direct people management experience leading and developing accounting staff.
• 3+ years of SOX 404 compliance experience, including ICFR design, RCM ownership, and external auditor management.
• Experience supporting SEC filings such as 10-K and 10-Q and managing accelerated filing deadlines.
• Large ERP experience is required, such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or a similar platform.
• Advanced Excel proficiency and a high degree of integrity when handling MNPI under public-company disclosure obligations.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or MBA.
• Workday experience and experience with close management platforms such as BlackLine or FloQast.
• Experience with AI-powered accounting tools, intelligent automation, or data analytics platforms.
• Big 4 or national public accounting experience.
