Manager, Accounting (Cost Accounting)

What you will do

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual inventory and cost accounting close processes.
• Maintain and enhance standard cost systems and analyze manufacturing, labor, purchase price, and overhead variances.
• Oversee inventory valuation, reserve calculations, cycle count adjustments, and warranty accruals.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, balance sheet analyses, and executive reporting on margins, inventory metrics, and manufacturing performance.
• Support forecasting, budgeting, long-range planning, audits, and SOX compliance.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and cost accounting staff while partnering with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, and Operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of standard costing, inventory accounting, manufacturing operations, and U.S. GAAP.
• Experience supporting complex manufacturing operations and global supply chains.
• ERP proficiency and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Nice to have

• CPA and/or CMA certification.
• Experience in telecommunications, electronics manufacturing, or technology hardware industries.
• Experience with global manufacturing operations and multi-site inventory management.
• Knowledge of SOX compliance and process automation.
• Prior leadership experience.
