Portfolio Manager, Federal (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Provide executive oversight of federal programs, projects, and task orders, ensuring delivery on schedule, within budget, and within contractual scope.
• Lead customer relationships as the primary escalation point and trusted partner for government program, contracting, and technical stakeholders.
• Manage assigned employees and delivery teams through supervision, coaching, performance reviews, development planning, staffing, and succession planning.
• Develop account growth strategies, identify new opportunities, and partner with business development and capture teams.
• Oversee contract compliance, funding, labor categories, deliverables, timekeeping, invoicing, revenue, utilization, margins, and forecasts.
• Maintain account scorecards and reporting covering delivery, staffing, financial performance, customer satisfaction, risks, and growth pipeline.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
• 7–10+ years of experience, including at least 3 years managing consulting or professional services resources or teams and/or managing federal programs.
• Ability to balance billable customer delivery with portfolio leadership, personnel management, financial oversight, and business development.
• In-depth knowledge of security domains including cloud, endpoint, risk management, and compliance.
• Familiarity with NIST, CIS Controls, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS frameworks.
• Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
• Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to hold a federal security clearance.

Nice to have

• CISSP, CISM, CISA, or PMP certification.
• Experience building or scaling a Professional Services or Engineering Team.
• Background in fast-paced consulting environments.
