Portfolio Manager (Technology)

Location: USA - NJ - Camden; hybrid role with 3 days in office, with fully remote work considered for the right candidate. Candidates must not require employer sponsorship now or in the future to legally work in the United States.

Salary: $132,100–$181,600 target base salary annually.

What you will do

• Oversee the strategy, governance, prioritization, performance, and value realization of a centralized technology portfolio supporting Corporate Functions and enterprise priorities.
• Partner with business and IT leaders to create portfolio roadmaps, annual operating and strategic plans, and investment plans.
• Lead demand intake, assessment, prioritization, sequencing, governance forums, stage gates, and escalation paths.
• Manage portfolio financials, including plans, forecasts, actuals, variances, financial risks, and benefits tracking, in partnership with the IT PMO and IT Finance.
• Lead resource capacity planning, resolve cross-project dependencies and resource conflicts, and monitor portfolio health, risks, issues, costs, schedules, and outcomes.
• Manage, coach, and develop project managers while preparing executive dashboards, forecasts, recommendations, and decision materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 6+ years of professional experience, including portfolio, program, or project management experience in a business-facing role.
• Experience managing complex, cross-functional technology initiative portfolios and aligning investments with business strategy.
• Experience with demand management, portfolio prioritization, annual planning, and roadmap development.
• Strong financial management experience, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and benefits tracking.
• Experience leading resource capacity planning and resolving competing priorities across matrixed teams.
• Experience managing, coaching, or providing functional leadership to project managers and delivery professionals.
• Exceptional executive communication, facilitation, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Strong reporting and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into portfolio insights, options, and recommendations.
• Strong proficiency with portfolio and project management tools and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and MS Project.

Nice to have

• PMP, PgMP, PfMP, or equivalent certification.
