Senior Business Risk Officer - Asset Finance (Fintech)

What you will do

• Lead risk identification, monitoring, measurement, mitigation, and reporting for assigned Commercial Bank business units, initially covering Middle Market Banking and core credit processes and systems.
• Establish risk management strategy, execution models, and a proactive risk culture aligned with the bank’s risk appetite.
• Define controls, develop first-line validation and testing plans, and complete risk and control self-assessments using qualitative and quantitative analysis.
• Develop monitoring strategies for emerging and top risks, issues, findings, controls, audits, and regulatory examinations.
• Leverage AI and data analytics to improve risk monitoring, identify efficiencies, and support decision-making.
• Lead governance forums and collaborate with stakeholders, audit, compliance, credit review, and regulatory teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in Line of Business Risk, Enterprise Risk, Audit, Credit Review, relevant operational or credit areas, controls functions, or similar roles.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Asset Finance processes and products.
• Credit and operational risk expertise applicable to Asset-Based Lending, Equipment Finance, Distribution Finance, Technology Finance, Public/Municipal Finance, Asset-Backed Finance, and Project Finance & Infrastructure.
• Deep understanding of control design, control management, and risk management across all risk pillars.
• Experience establishing control processes for new businesses.
• Proficiency in Archer and Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio.
• Ability to lead change, communicate clearly, navigate ambiguity and differing perspectives, and support colleagues’ career development.
