Software Engineer (Document Understanding)

What you will do

• Build and evolve the Document Understanding platform for training custom models and splitting, classifying, and extracting data from documents.
• Develop robust, reliable components with a focus on performance, scalability, quality, and platform reliability.
• Identify bugs and bottlenecks and design solutions for complex document understanding problems.
• Collaborate with globally distributed teams across locations to develop document understanding solutions.
• Maintain code quality and automation through unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience architecting and engineering large-scale commercial applications and services.
• Proficiency in one or more system-level programming languages, such as C#, Java, Python, or Rust, with willingness to learn new languages.
• Experience with cloud ecosystems such as Azure, AWS, or GCP, and with Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization technologies.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, architectural design patterns, multithreading, synchronization, asynchronous programming, and cloud programming.
• Deep understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Familiarity with agile development, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
• Ability to work with globally distributed teams and strong teamwork, collaboration, and communication skills.
• Programming experience with the .NET Framework and C#.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with documents and OCR technologies.
• Familiarity with Windows Presentation Foundation.
• Full-stack development experience.
