Senior Fullstack Developer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada; occasional international travel may be required for workshops, training, or support. Candidates must be authorized to work in Canada.

Salary: CAD $200,000–$250,000 annually, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain cloud-native infrastructure, microservices, and APIs supporting scalable AI model deployment.
• Integrate the platform with DICOM, HL7/FHIR, EHR, and radiology systems.
• Partner with Data Science and AI teams to develop, optimize, and productionize end-to-end data and machine learning pipelines from research through clinical deployment.
• Establish engineering practices for AI-assisted development, code quality, testing, CI/CD, observability, documentation, and healthcare compliance.
• Lead technical execution through code reviews, architectural guidance, troubleshooting, production monitoring, and mentoring software engineers.
• Collaborate with product managers, clinical stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to improve clinical workflows, operational efficiency, and patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Authorization to work in Canada.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience with exposure to product or platform delivery.
• Strong backend development skills in C# and the latest .NET Core frameworks; the role is weighted toward backend work.
• Strong experience building and deploying cloud-native applications on AWS, including Lambda, SageMaker, Bedrock, API Gateway, Aurora, IAM, and VPC.
• Experience with Terraform, CI/CD automation, and observability practices.
• Proficiency designing scalable microservices, REST APIs, and PostgreSQL-based solutions.
• Experience integrating healthcare systems using DICOM and HL7/FHIR while ensuring HIPAA and SOC 2 compliance.
• Hands-on experience integrating AI models into production environments and using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude.
• Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders in agile teams.
