Financial Analyst (Cloud & Edge)

What you will do

• Own core components of the monthly Network COGS close process and prepare executive reporting packages for CFO reviews.
• Analyze daily network traffic trends, operational variance, run-rate, and ROI to connect network performance with financial results.
• Develop weekly COGS outlooks and burn-rate tracking for infrastructure spending visibility.
• Support and enhance financial models for capital investments, server capacity expansion, and asset lifecycle initiatives.
• Collaborate with Sales Finance, Accounting, and Engineering Leadership to align traffic projections with revenue and cost assumptions.
• Improve reporting workflows and deliver specialized financial analyses for strategic business decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business.
• 2–3+ years of hands-on experience in financial analysis, management reporting, or corporate finance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling and large-data manipulation.
• Experience building presentations in PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical curiosity and problem-solving skills to connect complex technical network drivers with financial outcomes.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with fluent English and confidence collaborating across virtual, cross-functional teams.
• Eagerness to learn about Akamai’s cloud and edge architecture.
