Finance Business Partner (Aerospace)

Location: Reading, England, United Kingdom; hybrid workplace. Eligible to work in the United Kingdom.

What you will do

• Partner with Sales, Innovation, and support functions by providing financial insight, analysis, and challenge for decision-making.
• Support bid and deal pricing, contract margin analysis, commercial terms, and financial approval of deals.
• Translate the sales pipeline into revenue forecasts and track conversion, timing, and risk with Sales and Service Delivery.
• Track R&D and innovation spend, support grant funding claims, and manage the annual R&D tax credit claim.
• Own central-function overhead budgets, prepare consolidated monthly management reporting, and coordinate business review commentary.
• Run forecast, budgeting, and long-term planning cycles; maintain the financial model, perform scenario analysis, and improve reporting through automation and planning or BI tools.

Requirements

• CIMA, ACCA, or ACA qualified, or a Finalist.
• 3–5 years of experience in FP&A or finance business partnering.
• Experience preparing consolidated management reporting and forecasts.
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
• Experience partnering with commercial or sales teams on pricing, margin, and pipeline.
• Eligible to work in the United Kingdom.

Nice to have

• Experience in satcom, aerospace, defence, or another technology or project-based business.
• Experience with planning tools such as Cube or BI tools such as Power BI.
• Understanding of contract or project-based revenue recognition.
• Experience working with budget holders, senior leadership, Service Delivery, or R&D teams.
