What you will do

• Lead and manage the pre-construction commercial function across planned maintenance and infrastructure projects.
• Own divisional budgets, cost plans, financial forecasts, CVR processes, and commercial reporting.
• Manage cost control, valuations, subcontractors, final accounts, risks, opportunities, and value-for-money delivery.
• Lead procurement strategies, package scoping, early supply chain engagement, and value engineering.
• Manage, mentor, and develop Assistant Quantity Surveyors, including objectives, performance, professional development, and resource allocation.
• Present commercial updates and financial positions to senior stakeholders and collaborate with design, construction, operational, client, and supply chain teams.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a Quantity Surveying role, ideally within pre-construction.
• Strong knowledge of CVR processes, cost planning, and budget management.
• Experience managing and developing commercial teams.
• Skills in commercial strategy, risk management, and financial reporting.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management capabilities.

Nice to have

• Experience in construction, cladding remediation, or main contracting.
