Data Solutions Architect

Location: Reading and Newbury, United Kingdom; hybrid, with office attendance 2–3 days per week and at least 8 days per month.

What you will do

• Oversee the design of existing and new data capabilities in line with business requirements and the Data & Analytics strategy.
• Translate business needs and products into a business-friendly data layer, ensuring the right data elements are captured for downstream use.
• Design curated and transformed data layers supporting AI, reporting, analytics, and operational use cases.
• Define standards for data definitions, field names, reference data, and metadata to improve consistency and reuse.
• Review requirements, technical solutions, tooling assessments, and test strategies, providing technical guidance in business and technical forums.
• Lead and develop onshore team members and multiple external resources while fostering a high-performance and continuously improving delivery culture.

Requirements

• Proven experience in data architecture and design, with a strong understanding of data engineering principles and practices.
• Expertise in data modelling, data warehousing, and data governance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to represent Data & Analytics in business and technical forums.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise multiple projects and tasks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking.
