Senior Cyber Architect (AI)

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid; right to work in the UK required. hirify.global may consider sponsorship at its discretion. Short-term remote work abroad may be requested for up to 20 days per year from certain locations.

What you will do

• Provide architectural guidance to security operations and threat management teams.
• Interpret complex security events and systemic risk patterns, and improve detection, response, and resilience through architectural design.
• Analyse security assurance findings, identify root causes, and design systemic fixes with engineering and operations teams.
• Contribute to enterprise security architecture across application, cloud, data, identity and access management, secure-by-design, and emerging technology security including AI.
• Participate in design reviews and threat modelling, provide principles-based guidance, and support secure solution architecture decisions.
• Act as a trusted advisor across engineering and security functions while ensuring alignment with global security architecture standards in a federated operating model.

Requirements

• Significant experience in cybersecurity architecture or senior security engineering roles.
• Strong experience in security operations or threat management environments.
• Proven experience with security testing outcomes, including red team, purple team, or penetration testing.
• Experience operating in global, federated environments across multiple time zones.
• Exposure to cloud, application, identity, and data security domains.
• Right to work in the UK.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services or the insurance industry is strongly preferred.
