Senior Electronics Hardware Design Engineer (Hard Disk Drive Technology)

Location: Teparuk, Thailand; onsite work at the Teparuk facility.

What you will do

• Design and develop analog and digital circuits and multilayer PCB assemblies for measurement and test applications.
• Select CPLD/FPGA solutions and develop supporting firmware for system requirements.
• Develop, integrate, test, and qualify measurement instruments and automated test equipment.
• Perform laboratory testing, troubleshooting, debugging, root-cause analysis, hardware qualification, soldering, and rework.
• Optimize power delivery, grounding, EMI/EMC, ESD, signal integrity, and digital communication interfaces.
• Manage component selection, BOMs, EOL mitigation, second-source planning, PCB suppliers, design reviews, and collaboration across mechanical, software, test, and global engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in electronic hardware design and development.
• Strong experience in analog and digital circuit design and multilayer PCB development, including signal integrity and impedance-controlled design.
• Experience developing test instrumentation, measurement systems, and automated test equipment.
• Experience selecting CPLD/FPGA solutions and developing firmware; knowledge of embedded programming for test automation.
• Working knowledge of power supply design, grounding, EMI/EMC, ESD, and SPI, I²C, and LVDS interfaces.
• Proficiency with schematic capture, PCB layout, circuit simulation, and signal/power integrity analysis tools.
• Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, digital multimeters, and power supplies.
• Knowledge of component selection, BOM management, DFM, DFT, EOL mitigation, and second-source planning; experience with PCB fabrication and assembly suppliers.
• Strong technical documentation, design review, project management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
