Application Engineer (FPGA)

Location: Penang 15, Penang, Malaysia; Shift 1 (Malaysia)

What you will do

• Handle key customer escalations from analysis through closure.
• Work with field teams, distributors, internal application design teams, R&D teams, and key customers to improve designs, products, and customer experience.
• Participate in development projects, including international cross-organizational initiatives.
• Generate collateral and reference designs.
• Develop and deliver training materials covering new features and methodologies.
• Build strong regional and international communication and cooperation while proposing relevant industry approaches, algorithms, and practices for internal use.

Requirements

• BS, MS, or PhD in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
• Good working knowledge of the complete FPGA or ASIC design process and tool flow.
• Good understanding of design methodologies using Quartus.
• Ability to handle and solve system-level issues.
• Ability to work positively with several teams across sites and domains under variable workloads.

Nice to have

• Excellent working knowledge of RTL-based design flows.
